The "new" Vagabond Ski Club web site was launched during the month of February, 2000. Since then it has been updated on a Monthly basis. The primary nature of those updates involves electronically publishing the complete contents of the Vagabond Life Newsletter for that month.

I have been e-mailing a "heads up" to a number of groups the day that the next update is posted to the web. That "heads up" goes out to all of the current Vagabond Board of Directors having Internet access, approximately four dozen "in state" Vagabond members for whom I have e-mail addresses and about one dozen "out of state" Vagabonds for whom I have e-mail addresses.

I ordinarily wait until we receive our Vagabond Life Newsletter before I post the update to the Vagabond web site. If you would like to be added to the "heads up" notification list, please send me an e-mail message (ejwhite@execpc.com).

 

Opening screen: Thanks to the work of Jim Auner and Bill Bartels, when you click on the Members Page button located on the home page, you will proceed to a screen that highlights the theme for the next monthly meeting. It contains information about the band, suggested dress, drink special, etc. for the upcoming meeting.

 

Feedback Box: A "suggestion box" link has been added to the Members Page. When you click on this button it links to a page with a form that you can fill out and e-mail directly to PR Director, Bill Bartels. Suggestions for new events, and ideas can now be easily communicated to the board of directors.

 

Public Relations: A button has been added to the Members Page that links to a page that contains news, comments, and ideas from Bill Bartels.

 

Extended Calendar: As a result of the hard work of our new Life editor, Sandy Blake, the calendar of events for the current month is now more extensive.

 

Words from the Web: A button has been added to the Members Page that links to comments dealing with the announcement of NEW features and review of CURRENT web site features.

 

E--mail Address Directory: This new feature was set up on a trial basis last month. It is set up alphabetically like a telephone book
